Honey BBQ Little Smokies

Overview

Smothered with a sweet tangy honey barbecue sauce glaze, these little sausages are perfect for your game day get together, holiday party, and potluck. It makes a gracious plenty which is a good thing, since we know they’ll disappear quickly.

Instructions

1. Wash Up!

2. Make the sauce: Combine the BBQ sauce, chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, paprika, and garlic powder in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer.

3. Cook the sausages: Add the cocktail sausages to the sauce. Simmer, covered, for at least 30 minutes to allow the sauce to flavor the sausages.

To Serve: Transfer to cast-iron skillets, serving dishes, or serve right from the pot with toothpicks. Sprinkle with green onions before serving.

Pro Tip: This recipe can also be made in a slow cooker and the sausages kept warm during serving time.
