Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 cup halved fresh figs
  • 1 cup halved pitted Medjool dates
  • 1 (4-ounce) log goat cheese, at room temperature
  • 1½ cups plain whole milk Greek yogurt
  • 3 sprigs fresh oregano, stemmed and leaves chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme, stemmed and leaves chopped, plus more for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Savannah Bee Company Honey (we used Tupelo Honey), plus more for garnish

Instructions

1. Wash Up!

2. Sauté the figs and dates: Melt the butter over in a skillet over medium heat. Add the dates and figs, cut sides down, and cook without turning until browned.

3. Prepare the dip: Beat the goat cheese, yogurt, herbs and 2 tablespoons of the honey in a bowl until creamy.

To Serve: Spoon the whipped cheese onto serving plates in a delicious swirl. Add the dates and figs and garnish with herbs. Drizzle with more honey and enjoy.

Pro Tip: This appetizer is also great served with crostini. You can also add prosciutto if you’re looking for a heartier snack.
